At the National Saturday Club hosted by the University of Leeds we ran a workshop“Process: Artists’ Books” for young people aged 13 to 16, engaging them in making their own books, while experimenting with binding and design.
At the end of the workshop we had a mini art book fair, where every participant presented their book and talked about the concept and the process.
The National Saturday Club is a UK-based charity that offers free, weekly Saturday morning classes for 13-16-year-olds. These classes are held at universities, colleges, and museums across the country and cover a variety of subjects, including art, design, science, engineering, fashion, business, and writing.
The goal of the National Saturday Club is to inspire young people, help them discover new talents, and introduce them to potential career paths. The program provides a unique opportunity for young people to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build confidence.
