‘Min, If I could be you’ x Shuwen Tan
This collaboration started over Morley House essay from 2022 - No One is Laughing.

Over the text of No One is Laughing Shuwen and I discussed our individual experiences of belonging, looking for a community, grappling with our roots.

Several months later, Shuwen reached out to me with a new poem of theirs: it was a touching exploration of one’s identity and their relation to the family of origin.

Shuwen suggested I record the poem and they perform with a wearable installation and that sound in the background.

A sense of unity and quiet understanding permeated the whole project for me.
