Act II of UNTITLED is an artist talk born from a moment of reflection, a deeply human moment.
The morning after the launch of UNTITLED. Act I: MANUSCRIPT at Softcover in Vienna on March 7, 2025, amidst the celebration of this very personal project and a new format for Morley House (a fully text-based artists’ book), I found a grammar mistake in our text.
That discovery, coinciding with the novelty of the performance reading experience and my own history, sparked a deeper consideration: the tension between "mistake" and "keeping going", between error and the ongoing creative process.
In my experience, Christos, possesses a unique ability to articulate and embrace the role of process in artmaking, so I turned to him. Together we developed this artist talk as an exploration, a dialogue.
We aim to get closer to a more profound, more rounded understanding of mistakes and process – particularly for those of us who, like myself, are learning to heal our relationship with "error" and to embrace it as a natural, fun, part of the artistic journey.
In June 2025 join us for an online artist talk. I'll begin by reading questions from page 9 of UNTITLED, and then Christos and I will delve into this topic, drawing on visuals (as Christos often does), my research into multilingualism, mistakes, and the insights of other artists and authors, as well as, our own feelings and experiences.
This isn't about chasing perfection; it's about embracing the authentic, often messy, reality of creation.
